Complex organic molecules and interstellar ices: recent progresses from laboratory astrophysics

Abstract

We present recent advances on the origin of complex organic molecules (COMs) in space brought by original laboratory experimental approaches. These studies highlight the role of solid-gas interface and bulk processes in the chemistry in the cold and dense regions of the interstellar medium.
