Welcome on the HAL page of the TALN and RÉCITAL conferences
The TALN conference (Traitement Automatique des Langues Naturelles) first took place in 1994 within the framework of the Natural Language pole of the Communication Homme-Machine GDR-PRC. It was created by Philippe Blache, who organized the three first venues. Since 1997, the location and the organization of the event change every year.
A steering committee was created in 1998 to welcome applications for organizing the different venues. Since 1999, the conference is held under the auspices of the Association pour le Traitement Automatique des Langues (ATALA).
Since 1999, the RÉCITAL conference (Rencontre des Étudiants Chercheurs en Informatique pour le Traitement Automatique des Langues) takes place as a student session during TALN. Since 2002, TALN and RÉCITAL are jointly organized on a regular basis with the Journées d’Etudes de la Parole (JEP), together with the Association Française pour la Communication Parlée (AFCP) .
This page aims at grouping articles of the TALN and RÉCITAL conferences that are available on HAL.
