A 7.4μW and 860μm² per channel cryo-CMOS IC for 70-channel frequency-multiplexed μs-readout of semiconductor qubits

Résumé

This paper presents a fully integrated readout circuit operating at 4.2K for frequency division multiplexing readout based on qubit charge sensing. Our chain based on a capacitive feedback TIA achieves a reading capability of 70 parallel channels down to 6µs for a 10-3 BER and reaches a power efficiency of 7.4µW per channel and a footprint efficiency of 857µm² requiring no external passives.
