Exhibition Based on the Atlas of Contemporary Egypt as Part of the CNRS 80th Anniversary
An exhibition of large-format maps aimed at popularizing social science knowledge about Egypt through synthesized maps taken from The Atlas of Contemporary Egypt, a collective and public-oriented work to be published by CNRS Editions on February 6, 2020, under the direction of Hala Bayoumi and Karine Bennafla.
The exhibition consists of around fifteen panels featuring maps accompanied by texts in French. The panels are organized into the following themes: Geopolitical Issues, Society and Demographics, Greater Cairo, Egyptian Provinces, Economy and Environment, Culture and Heritage.
Exposition réalisée à partir de l'Atlas de l'Égypte contemporaine dans le cadre des 80 ans du CNRS.
Une exposition de cartes en grand format pour vulgariser les savoirs en sciences sociales sur l’Égypte grâce à des cartes de synthèse extraites de « L’Atlas de l’Égypte contemporaine », un ouvrage collectif et grand public à paraître aux éditions du CNRS le 6 février 2020, sous la direction de Hala Bayoumi et Karine Bennafla.
L’exposition comprend une quinzaine de panneaux comportant des cartes accompagnées d’un texte en français. Les panneaux sont organisés suivant les thèmes : Enjeux géopolitique, Société et démographie, Le Grand Caire, Provinces égyptiennes, Économie et environnement, Culture et patrimoine.
